Sprout is a trusted stakeholder management software-as-a-service that helps companies digitally design, manage and scale their shares, options, tokens and everything in between.  We teach people how to turn equity and tokens into the most powerful stakeholder engagement tools.  

Roots was founded by Andy Lee, an ex-Uber APAC senior executive, and Tony Sun, a China product and engineering leader, who both have a combined 40-years of global startup experience launching companies at scale and cultivating large teams. We were founded in 2019 and we are backed by a group of prominent early-stage investors.

About the Role

We are looking for a Sales Development Representative (“SDR”) to join our rapidly expanding sales team based in Hong Kong. From sourcing leads, facilitating initial conversations, to developing team wide best practices, you will be an integral member of our Sales organization. In this role, you’ll be responsible for educating customers and creating excitement about Sprout. You’ll get to work alongside an extremely passionate and supportive team, but most importantly you’ll jumpstart your career in an exciting field of equity and token management. You will play a key role in building and nurturing Sprout’s sales strategy, organizational framework and culture in the region. In this role, you will source and build external champions and manage key external and internal relationships and most importantly, grow our customer base. 

You are passionate, willing to learn and may have some experience in SaaS, strategic or corporate sales. You may have prior work experience with, and potentially existing contacts within, the venture capital and startup community. You are a strong communicator and an exceptional networker. 

At Sprout, and particularly within this role, a successful SDR will manage effectively in a fast-paced, startup environment. You have authentic relationship building skills and are self-driven — almost to the point of operating at superhuman speeds. You are detailed, organized, strategic and even creative with sourcing and closing customers.

Develop new business leads and enhance existing relationships.
Utilize prospecting and research tools, coordinate with assigned reps to qualify opportunities; prepare for and book pitch meetings with target prospects.
Strategize with team members to innovate & improve the overall sales development process
Conduct sales development best practices with email, phone, and social drips using enablement technology to connect with new prospects.
Work closely and collaboratively with the sales team to develop and implement appropriate prospect communication plans
Work internally with other departments to ensure proper quality and quantity of demonstrations

Required Experience/Skills:

BS/BA required
Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Very strong work ethic with confidence to work autonomously
Highly motivated to succeed both individually and with a young and fast growing company
Prior Start-up sales experience a huge plus
